Installation Note

Surface preparation: The surface must be uniform, level, dry and clean. Remove existing weak parts and loose layers of old coatings. Smooth out cracks and chips using plaster or putty compounds. Sand the putty with fine sandpaper. Remove dust using a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. Application: The technology for applying “Venetian plaster” consists of applying two or more layers of coating, consisting of randomly located structural strokes and “veins” of the material. The combination of many such strokes creates the depth of the natural stone pattern. 1. Before applying the decorative coating, protect unpainted areas with mounting tape or film. 2. Treat the surface with deep penetration primer Primer using a roller or brush. After the primer has completely dried, apply primer-paint Base with a lint roller, so that the surface is perfectly smooth, without a “fur coat”. To do this, roll the primer-paint Base in different directions over the surface. After the first coat has completely dried, apply a second coat if necessary. Use a brush in hard-to-reach places. 3.Before application, if necessary, mix the material Stucco Veneziano mechanically. The material is ready for application. 4. Applying the material should begin from the upper left corner, moving to the lower right. To avoid noticeable seams on the surface, always work on a wet edge, leaving a minimum amount of material around the edges. 5. Apply the material Stucco Veneziano with a soft spatula or stainless steel trowel; to work in inconvenient and hard-to-reach places, use a small spatula. 6. Apply the first layer of material as thinly as possible, evenly over the entire surface to create a background. 7. After the first layer has completely dried, apply the next layer randomly, as thin a layer as possible, on the scratch, in different directions with single, abrupt strokes (layering the strokes will create a certain pattern). 8. Apply the last third layer as thinly as possible, scratching, in different directions with single, abrupt strokes, filling in all kinds of irregularities. Thus, creating a smooth surface. Without allowing the layer to dry, the surface must be glossed: pressing firmly on the tool, with a spatula or trowel, smooth the entire surface with quick chaotic movements until it becomes smooth and glossy. 9. After the last layer has completely dried, if desired, to protect the coating and give a mirror shine, treat the finished surface with wax Cera di Veneziano Nova. Apply wax C era Di Veneziano Nova with a trowel or spatula in the thinnest possible layer over the entire surface. After 12 hours, use a mitten or rag to polish the wax with force in a circular motion. Mixing with materials from other manufacturers is not allowed.
